Beat the crowds and get your abo+ early on: From early May, you can renew your existing subscription for the upcoming academic year – or apply for one if you don’t yet have an abo+. Pro tip: Getting it online is now faster than ever.
Things often get a little hectic at the start of school: Every year, some 80,000 pupils and students typically apply for or renew their abo+ subscriptions online just a few weeks before returning to school. As a result, the data systems can become overloaded, and there’s usually a sharp increase in demand at the südtirolmobil Service and Information Centres and Infopoints, too.
To make the process quick and smooth, it’s worth applying for or renewing your abo+ for the 2021/22 school year early on – preferably even now. And just in time for the upcoming autumn, we’ve significantly streamlined and simplified the entire process on our website. By far the quickest and easiest way for parents to renew and pay for their children’s abo+ subscriptions is through their user account and by SEPA Direct Debit. To do that, you don’t even need any data or subscription numbers: You can automatically extend the validity of the subscription for another year with just a few clicks. But even for those who do not have a user account, getting or renewing an abo+ subscription online is now much easier and more convenient than in previous years.
Existing abo+ passes are valid until 15 September. By renewing it online and paying the annual fee, the subscription is automatically extended for another year.
If you are a primary, middle or high school student applying for an abo+ pass for the first time, you can collect it from your school starting from 1 September 2020 and use it on all means of public transport once the annual fee has been paid.
As before, all abo+ applications and renewals must be submitted through this website. You can use our services with or without a digital access key, through SPID (Sistema Pubblico di Identità Digitale) or using your Carta dei Servizi/Bürgerkarte pass and reader.
Good to know: This year, a new rule will be introduced regarding university students. Stay tuned for more details.
