Despite a general increase in costs, public transport fares will remain unchanged. Only Mobilcard prices will be adjusted.
When Mobilcards were introduced around 18 years ago, they were quite the revolution: convenient, available at a fixed price and valid on all means of public transport throughout South Tyrol – a true novelty. And when the next additions to the family – museumobil Cards and bikemobil Cards – came along, they combined public transport tickets with access to some 90 museums, exhibitions and collections in all of South Tyrol or the use of a rental bike: more than enough reason for our guests to opt for a car-free holiday and explore the region by bus and train.
One ticket for all means of public transport: that was the inspiration for the launch of subscription passes for pupils, students and senior passengers – and for the Südtirol Pass. The different guest cards and the Südtirol Guest Pass, which is issued by a number of accommodation establishments, are based on the same principle.
Every year, as many as 116,000 Mobilcard of different kinds including BusCard Meran passes are sold in South Tyrol. And they can also be bought online using a smartphone: Standard Mobilcards are now available as an online ticket in the südtirolmobil app. To find out more, visit our mobile ticketing webpage.
The following fares will apply from 1 February 2023:
- 1-day Mobilcards: EUR 20
- 3-day Mobilcards: EUR 30
- 7-day Mobilcards: EUR 45
- 3-day museumobil Cards: EUR 55
- 7-day museumobil Cards: EUR 65
As of this year, bikemobil Cards are only available as one-day passes and cost EUR 30.
For young people up to 13 years of age, all Mobilcard variations are also available as Junior Cards at half price.
