On Sunday 10 December, the wish of many Venosta/Vinschgau commuters will come true: a direct bus from Mals/Malles to Landeck.
Cross-border bus connection
Until now, the only way to travel between Mals/Malles and Landeck was to change buses. From 10 December, the approximately 75-kilometre route will be covered seven days a week between 6.40 a.m. and 9.17 p.m., with fourteen daily return trips by direct bus on the 273 service.
Südtirol Pass: südtirolmobil fares with online validation
Tyrol and South Tyrol will each contribute half of the cost of the new service, which will be operated by the VVT (Verkehrsverbund Tirol). Holders of a Südtirol Pass (Südtirol Pass, Euregio Family Pass, Südtirol Pass business, Südtirol Pass free) can travel as usual at the südtirolmobil kilometre fare. However, the pass must be validated online in the südtirolmobil app before the journey. It is not possible to validate the pass on the bus. The Südtirol Pass 65+, the Südtirol Pass free and abo+ tickets need only be shown upon request. Alternatively, you can buy a single ticket on the bus. For information on online validation please click here.
Timetable change
From Sunday 10 December 2023, the new bus and train timetables will also come into force. All information and the new timetables are available here.
