Ask the driver for a ticket for the route you need and instead of paying cash, simply hold your payment card close to the contactless display on the square validating machine and collect your ticket.
Which buses can I pay with a credit/debit card?
The service is available on all regional buses. On urban buses in Bozen/Bolzano and Meran/Merano it is not possible to buy tickets on the bus or from the driver.
