This summer, getting a Euregio 2 Plus day pass doesn’t just mean cheap group travel on each and every single means of public transport in all of South Tyrol, Tyrol and Trentino – it also opens up tons of discounts at over 60 participating museums throughout the entire Euregio sector.
It’s just what many of us have been waiting for eagerly: After the long lockdowns of the past year, it’ll soon be possible again to get and out about – complete with trips across the border and into the neighbouring regions by bus and train. And what better way to explore than for example with a Euregio 2 Plus day pass, the exciting group ticket introduced last summer as a joint initiative of the Euregio members Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino. In South Tyrol alone, more than 3,000 tickets were sold in the first three months following its roll-out in August. At only EUR 39, two adults accompanied by a maximum of three children under the age of 15 can cruise, tour and explore the three regions to their hearts’ content for a full day, using all available public buses and trains.
For 2021, the Euroregion has now launched a joint museum-themed year: True to the motto Transport – Transit – Mobility and supported by a number of initiatives, events and special deals, the campaign grants all Euregio 2 Plus day pass holders a multitude of discounts at more than 60 museums and collections in all of Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino: To claim 50% off the standard admission price for the entire group you’re travelling with, all you need to do is show your ticket at any of the participating museums. Stay tuned for more info and events – and while we all wait for the summer to arrive, why not get a head start by putting together a lovely group of up to five people and plan the details of your day trip across all but three regions plus a visit to all the museums you’ve always wanted to explore? To help you get started, here are the bus and train timetables for all of Trentino (www.trentinotrasporti.it) and Tyrol (fahrplan.vvt.at).
