Timetable

New bus and train timetables from 13 December 2020

Additional bus journeys all over South Tyrol

Additional bus services in the evenings, mornings and on weekends, new bus concepts in many places and some extra train services: Those are the core elements of the 2021 timetable, which will come into force on the second Sunday of December. Another quantum leap for public mobility in South Tyrol!

Bolzano/Bozen and surroundings – Oltradige/Überetsch – Bassa Atesina/Unterland

Several improvements and some new routes have been introduced to the Citybus network in Caldaro/Kaltern and Appiano/Eppan. This includes services to and from Pianizza Di Sopra/Oberplanitzing, Castelvecchio/Altenburg and Cornaiano/Girlan. A premiere: new evening services along the 136 route, i.e. Bolzano/Bozen – Caldaro/Kaltern – Termeno/Tramin.

The bus lines to and from the Val Sarentino/Sarntal and Val d'Ega/Eggental valleys as well as buses serving the catchment areas Salto/Salten, Monzoccolo/Tschögglberg and Renon/Ritten have been more clearly defined and boosted. By popular demand, a brand-new service to and from Passo Oclini/Jochgrimm has been introduced: bus no. 184, serving Pietralba/Weißenstein (Passo Oclini/Jochgrimm) – Obereggen – Ponte Nova/Birchabruck.

Additional early-morning and evening services have also been added to several urban bus routes run by Sasa. In Bolzano/Bozen, buses previously marked with the number 18 have now been integrated into the 111 route. And with several journeys added between Merano/Meran and Bolzano/Bozen (bus no. 201), services will now also run every 30 minutes on Sundays and public holidays.

In and around Merano/Meran and the neighbouring valleys

Many additional journeys have been introduced in a number of places, especially in the evenings and mornings: Among the routes with extra journeys are the Val d'Ultimo/Ulten valley, Lauregno/Deutschnonsberg and buses serving the route Verdines/Verdins – Scena/Schenna – Merano/Meran.

More key novelties for passengers: the new Sasa urban bus route no. 5, which runs from Merano/Meran train station through the city’s business park (Zona Artigianale di Maia Bassa/Handwerkerzone Untermais) all the way to Maia Bassa/Untermais train station, but also the new 217 route between Foresta/Forst and Merano/Meran, the freshly restructured 212 route between Marlengo/Marling and Merano/Meran plus, last but certainly not least, an additional stop at Bolzano Sud/Bozen Süd for the 6:54 commuter train from Merano/Meran.

For trains serving the Val Venosta/Vinschgau valley, early-morning services will now depart a few minutes earlier, and express trains, which were previously reserved to Sundays and public holidays, will now be available all year round.

Valle Isarco/Eisacktal, Alta Valle Isarco/Wipptal and Val Pusteria/Pustertal

In the Valle Isarco/Eisacktal and Alta Valle Isarco/Wipptal valleys, a series of key excursion destinations will see additional bus connections. This includes Racines/Ratschings, Val di Funes/Villnöss, Scezze/Tschötsch, Alpe di Villandro/Villanderer Alm and the plateau of Naz-Sciaves/Natz-Schabs, to name but a few.
In the Val Gardena/Gröden valley, too, local bus timetables have been adapted and improved.

Commuters will benefit from the additional train service running from Bolzano/Bozen to Brennero/Brenner at 16:28.
