Forget luxury company cars: The future lies in public mobility. Make your business trips by public transport – with the all-new Südtirol Pass business. It’s both convenient and green!
There’s no sustainable work without sustainable mobility. And as an increasing amount of companies are taking a stance for the environment and climate, there’s now another great way to make a substantial contribution: Meet the new Südtirol Pass business edition, a powerful tool for companies to actively reduce the volume of road traffic and help protect the planet. This latest member of the Südtirol Pass ticket family was recently presented by Regional Minister for Mobility Daniel Alfreider at a joint press conference with Federico Giudiceandrea, President of the South Tyrol federation of business associations swr-ea and Patrick Dejaco, Head of Information Systems at STA.
Added convenience for businesses and their employees
For companies across South Tyrol, the new Südtirol Pass business ticket is a convenient solution in many respects: An increasing amount of official company trips can be made by bus and train, eliminating the need to look for parking or manage and settle both travel and parking expenses on a regular basis. And – last but certainly not least – businesses can claim tax deductions for travel expenses paid for with Südtirol Pass business tickets.
How to apply
Südtirol Pass business tickets are available to all private businesses and public institutions, individual enterprises and self-employed persons or freelancers in possession of an Italian VAT number. Applications can be submitted online. One or more tickets can be requested for any number of employees, and “cluster” tickets can be issued for individual offices, entire departments or separate branches. Each ticket can be used by different employees – just not by several people on the same journey.
Where can it be used?
Much like a standard Südtirol Pass ticket, the business edition can be used on all means of public transport within the entire südtirolmobil network and on regional trains all the way to Trento. The ticket is also valid on cross-border train services to Innsbruck or Lienz (regional trains only), where journeys are charged at the official VVT/ÖBB rate. And it can even be used to pay for journeys on all Nightliner services and to transport pets or bicycles (day pass).
Please note that Südtirol Pass business tickets are not valid on long-distance or high-speed trains (EC, Freccia, Italo, Railjet etc.).
Fares and invoicing
All journeys by bus and train within the südtirolmobil network are charged a fixed rate of 12 cents per km, which is the equivalent of rates charged on a standard südtirolmobil pre-paid card. There is a one-time card-issue fee of 20 EUR per Südtirol Pass business ticket.
The online user account offers detailed records of all Südtirol Pass business-related invoices, the mileage applicable to the current billing period and a list of all journeys made on each individual ticket.
