On 11 December, the winter timetables will be launched, with bus services significantly expanded – especially early in the mornings, in the evenings and at weekends.
Train services between Bolzano/Bozen and Trento will be increased considerably: On Saturday afternoons, 5 to 6 regional trains per direction will be added, i.e. going south and north. And on Sundays and public holidays, there will now be a total of 7 additional trains for each direction. Thanks to minor timetable adjustments, train connections to and from Merano/Meran will be improved, too.
Bus and train: miles better
Orientated on the requirements of the provincial government’s new Mobility Plan, the amendments come as a response to the suggestions submitted by many passengers and municipalities. The aim is clear: to create a tightly woven, large-scale public transport network that offers an attractive alternative to owning a car for as many people as possible, both for work and leisure.
